PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY

I believe in Comprehensive dentistry – treating the whole mouth as part of the whole patient. I plan treatment to meet a patient's long-term goals in an effort to help them realize the importance of good oral health. Each patient visit will contribute to the betterment of the patient's oral and overall health. A thorough and well thought-out treatment plan with purposeful steps is essential to our ultimate goal of optimum oral health.

Care of acute needs and emergencies come first. Second are hygiene cleanings & periodontal evaluation. Good health of the periodontia (gums, bone & ligaments supporting teeth) is the foundation for ensuring longevity of treatment and oral health. Third is treatment of tooth decay. With the mouth stable and free of infection, we can begin restoring optimum function by replacing missing teeth, crowning weakened teeth for support, and analyzing occlusion. Once a patient is pain free and disease free, with restored optimum function, all options for cosmetic treatment, such as veneers, are available to enhance or create beautiful smiles. Cosmetics are really considered from the start. I like to begin with the end in mind. My self-imposed standards of excellence not only pertain to delivering functionally and fundamentally sound work, but also to making it look great.
